MedRounds Terms of Service

Last updated: 16 September 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Spark Inc LLC, the company that operates MedRounds. Please read them. By creating an account or using MedRounds, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use MedRounds.

1. Who we are

MedRounds is operated by Spark Inc LLC, a limited liability company registered in Georgia (identification number 416391149), with its legal address at Shartava avenue N 19, (XX m/d N 5), semi-basement, Rustavi, Georgia.

In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Spark Inc LLC. "MedRounds" means the MedRounds mobile app and the website at medrounds.co.uk. "You" means the person using MedRounds.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information, and our Community Guidelines are part of these terms.

2. Who can use MedRounds

  • You must be 18 or over. You confirm this when you create an account.

  • You must be able to enter into a binding agreement where you live.

  • If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close it.

3. Your account

  • Give accurate information when you sign up, and keep it up to date.

  • Keep your password secure, and don't share your account. You are responsible for activity on your account.

  • One person, one account.

  • Tell us straight away at support@medrounds.co.uk if you think someone else has accessed your account.

4. MedRounds is for education only

MedRounds helps you prepare for medical licensing exams. It is not medical advice, and it is not a clinical tool.

  • Don't use MedRounds to make decisions about patient care. Always follow current clinical guidelines, local protocols, your supervisors and your own professional judgement.

  • Our content is reviewed by doctors, but it can still contain errors, and medical knowledge, guidelines and drug information change. If you spot a mistake, email support@medrounds.co.uk.

  • We don't guarantee exam results. How you perform depends on many things outside our control.

  • MedRounds is independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE), the Federation of State Medical Boards (FSMB), the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME), the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG), or any other exam body. USMLE is a joint program of the FSMB and the NBME. All exam names are used only to describe what our content helps you prepare for.

5. The beta

MedRounds is currently in beta. That means:

  • It's free. We don't charge for anything during the beta. If we introduce paid features later, we will tell you in advance and they will come with their own terms. You will never be charged without agreeing first.

  • Things will change. We may add, change or remove features and content as we improve MedRounds.

  • Things may go wrong. You may come across bugs, errors or interruptions. We work to fix them, but we can't promise MedRounds will always be available or error-free.

6. XP, grades, streaks and the leaderboard

  • XP, grades, streaks, hearts, quests and leaderboard positions are part of the learning experience. They have no monetary value and can't be exchanged, sold or transferred.

  • We may adjust or reset them to correct errors or where we reasonably believe they were gained unfairly, for example through cheating, automation or exploiting a bug.

7. Our content

  • The lessons, flashcards, questions, cases, articles, designs, the Dr. Skelly character, and the MedRounds name and logo belong to us or the people who license them to us.

  • You may use our content for your own personal study. You may not copy, share, sell, publish, scrape or reuse it for any other purpose, including training artificial intelligence systems, without our written permission.

  • Some images are used under licences from third parties, and their creators are credited where the image appears.

8. What you post

This section covers anything you post in MedRounds, such as Community posts, comments and your profile details.

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to host, store, display and format it so we can run MedRounds. This permission continues after you delete your account, because your posts remain visible as "Deleted user", and ends when the content is removed. You can ask us to remove your posts and comments at any time by emailing privacy@medrounds.co.uk.

You are responsible for what you post. When you post, you confirm that:

  • You have the right to post it.

  • It follows these terms and our Community Guidelines.

  • It does not contain information that could identify a patient. Our Community Guidelines explain what you can and can't share about clinical cases.

  • For any clinical image, you have the patient's consent and all identifying details are removed.

We may remove content that breaks these terms or our Community Guidelines, and we may do so without telling you first.

9. Rules for using MedRounds

You agree not to:

  • Post anything unlawful, harassing, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, misleading or spam.

  • Post information that could identify a patient.

  • Pretend to be someone else, including falsely claiming to be a doctor.

  • Cheat, or manipulate XP, grades, streaks or the leaderboard.

  • Use bots, scripts or automated tools to access MedRounds or collect its content or data.

  • Copy, reverse-engineer or interfere with MedRounds, its security or its systems.

  • Access another user's account or information.

  • Use MedRounds for any unlawful purpose.

10. Events

MedRounds lets you book seminars run by doctors, virtual or in person.

  • Hosts are independent. Events are run by the doctors who host them, not by us. We check that hosts are registered doctors before listing their events, but we are not responsible for what a host says, teaches or does at an event.

  • When you book, we share your name and email address with the host so they can run the event. Our Privacy Policy explains this.

  • Virtual events take place on third-party video platforms, such as Google Meet or Zoom, whose own terms apply.

  • Events can change or be cancelled by the host or by us. We will try to tell you as soon as possible.

  • Joining links are for you only. Don't share the link for a virtual event with anyone else.

  • In-person events: you attend at your own risk and are responsible for getting there and back. Follow the host's and venue's rules.

  • Behave at events as you would in Community. The rules in section 9 apply.

Doctors who host events agree to separate Host Terms.

11. Suspending or closing accounts

  • You can stop using MedRounds and delete your account at any time, in the app's Settings or by emailing privacy@medrounds.co.uk. Our Privacy Policy explains what happens to your information.

  • We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if we need to for legal reasons, or if your use puts other users or MedRounds at risk. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you why.

  • If MedRounds shuts down, we will give you reasonable notice where we can.

12. Our responsibility to you

  • MedRounds is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises about MedRounds beyond those set out in these terms.

  • To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for:

    • decisions you make about patient care or anything else based on MedRounds content

    • your exam results

    • indirect losses, such as lost opportunities, earnings or data

    • what other users or event hosts say or do

    • problems caused by events outside our reasonable control

  • To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility to you for all claims relating to MedRounds is limited to 100 US dollars.

  • Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. If you live in a country whose consumer laws give you rights these terms can't override, those rights still apply.

13. Third-party services

MedRounds works with services run by other companies, such as Google sign-in, Apple's App Store and Google Play. Your use of those services is also covered by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.

If you downloaded MedRounds from Apple's App Store:

  • These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for MedRounds or its content.

  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for MedRounds.

  • Apple is not responsible for any claims relating to MedRounds, including product liability claims, claims that MedRounds fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection claims, or claims that MedRounds infringes someone else's intellectual property.

  • You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a United States government embargo, and you are not on any United States government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as MedRounds changes. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when they last changed. If we make a significant change, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using MedRounds after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms. If you don't agree, you can delete your account.

15. Law and disputes

  • These terms are governed by the laws of Georgia.

  • If you have a problem, please contact us first at support@medrounds.co.uk. Most issues can be resolved that way.

  • If a dispute can't be resolved, it will be decided by the courts of Georgia. If you are a consumer, you may also be able to bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live, and nothing in these terms takes away the protections of your local consumer law.

16. General

  • Whole agreement: these terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines, are the whole agreement between you and us about MedRounds.

  • If part of these terms is invalid, the rest still applies.

  • If we don't enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.

  • Transfer: we may transfer these terms to another company, for example if MedRounds is sold, as long as your rights are not reduced. You may not transfer your account or these terms to anyone else.
